My Friend Andrew

Andrew Boult, a fantastically amusing friend, passed away recently. I wanted to share the news and hope that all the people who were lucky enough to have their lives touched by Andrew, will for a moment remember him, his unique character and love for all natural.
You will be missed .

Ballroom Bus Stop

Painted after an amazing Saturday evening watching older folk get down in Surbition, Surrey.  I remember an elderly gentleman getting me on my feet and whisking me round the hall, my army boots didn't really help!

Gill Button

I can't resist making a collection of older paintings, ones that have never been on my website and done before a scanner was commonplace in the office! This is my good friend Gill Button painted when we were at Kingston University, she looks scary but  is one of the most inspiring people I know.

Cartoon in Swiss Newspaper

Not long after the campaign was launched a cartoon was drawn in a major Swiss newspaper referring to it. Apparently it's positive! Here is what my client said: "Almost every Newspaper wrote about. And a lot of people talk about....The politicians from the right wing don't like it. This was predictable!  Here what "our" Cartoonist did, who draws every day in the biggest Swiss Newspaper."

Swiss Ad Campaign - Older Man

This man was my first to paint, always the most difficult as you don't really know what the client is expecting, but from here we roared ahead with the others. More info on campaign here

Swiss Ad Campaign

Hasenfeld Zurich commissioned twelve portraits for a campaign  the Swiss Government are currently launching. Appearing as billboards in train and bus stations, in newspaper ads, animated e-boards and Welcome Packs the aim is to help foreigners integrate into Switzerland.  I had to paint certain 'types' of people, for example a Jew, a German, a Balkan and an Anglosaxon, the one here is of a confident young Swiss woman. The job was completed in 5 days, with more portraits to be commissioned.
